GiiKER Super Slider puzzle game review
REVIEW – Sometimes the best way to relax is to kick back and solve a puzzle. No, I don't mean figuring out the meaning of life… I mean a puzzle like the GiiKER Super Slider. Let's take a look.
The GiiKER Super Slider is a modern version of the classic sliding tile game (shown below) that many of us (me included) played with when we were kids.
The GiiKER Super Slider is made of plastic with a flat frame for the included tiles. You’ll also notice the graphic on the base. This is the end point for the large red tile. When you slide the tile in place, you’ve finished a level. At the top is a small color display and 3 buttons next to the display that controls the modes and power.
On the bottom is the battery slot. Note that the GiiKER Super Slider does not come with batteries. It's up to you to supply 2 AA batteries.
It's very easy to play this puzzle game. Just insert 2 AA batteries into the bottom slots and then press and hold the red power button on the top of the base. The display will immediately show you the board layout for the puzzle level that you’re ready to solve next. The GiiKER Super Slider has over 500 levels, so it should keep you occupied for a while and it's great that it saves your place.
After you’ve placed the tiles in the correct area on the board, you press the red button again and you’re ready to play. The object of the game is to slide the tiles up and down so that the large red tile can move to the center bottom section of the frame. As soon as the red tile slides to the right place, you’ll be rewarded with a little tune and animation on the display.
The tiles have magnets in them so there's a tiny bit of friction when you slide the tiles around. It's oddly relaxing and satisfying.
I do wish there was a pouch to hold the game and the extra tiles when you’re not playing with it.
Check out my video below where I demonstrate playing a few levels.
The GiiKER Super Slide is a fun puzzle game that doesn't require you to subscribe to anything, pair it with your phone, or use an app. The puzzles aren't too challenging for adults, but kids will like them and as long as you have 2 AA batteries, you (I mean your kids) will be able to enjoy hours of puzzle-solving fun.
