All devices in the iPhone 14 lineup include an LED flash that also doubles up as a flashlight, and there are a few ways to turn it off. Apple unveiled the iPhone 14 in September 2022 as an upgrade over the iPhone 13 series. The new lineup comprises four models, including the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The two Pro models come with a number of additional features over the two base models, including the Dynamic Island that replaces the wide notch.

While the iPhone 14 lineup already offers a few new features, next year's iPhone 15 series is expected to offer even more changes. One of them happens to be the USB-C port that has long been a demand of iPhone users everywhere. Current iPhones use the outdated Lightning connector for charging and data-syncing, but Apple is being forced to make the change by an EU legislation that requires all mobile devices sold in the region to switch to USB-C.

Switching the flashlight on and off on an iPhone 14 is easy, and as explained by Apple, it can be done in more than one way. Starting off with the first method, swipe down from the top-right corner on the iPhone 14 home screen to open the Control Center. Now simply tap on the flashlight button to turn the flashlight on or off. The icon will turn blue when the flashlight is on and white when it's switched off. The brightness of the flashlight can also be adjusted manually. To do this, press and hold the flashlight button in Control Center and drag the brightness slider up or down. Do note that if the flashlight icon is unavailable in the Control Center, it can be added manually. To do that, go to Settings, tap 'Control Center,' and then hit the '+' icon next to the 'Flashlight' option to add it to the Control Center.

The flashlight on iPhones can even be toggled on or off from the lock screen, without even needing to unlock the device. To do that, just tap on the locked iPhone to wake up the screen (or pick up the phone to activate the 'Raise to Wake' feature) and then long press the flashlight icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen to turn it on. To turn off the flashlight from the lock screen, use the same method, or swipe slightly right. The swipe method is the easiest way to turn off the flashlight on the iPhone 14.

Users can also summon Siri to turn the flashlight on or off on the iPhone 14. To switch off the flashlight using Siri, simply say "Hey Siri, turn off my flashlight." The aforementioned methods work on all the iPhone 14 models, including the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max. In addition to iPhone 14 lineup, they can also be used on other iPhones with Face ID support including the iPhone 13, iPhone 12, iPhone 11, or even an iPad Pro.
